He led the electric furnace team in melting a full range of highly complex castings, overcoming technical challenges and successfully developing and validating a variety of new material smelting processes. His unwavering commitment to quality laid a solid foundation for the company’s strategic advancement.

He not only deeply cultivated his skills but also empowered production through innovation, solving production line challenges, exploring new energy-saving and consumption-reducing approaches, and breaking down international technological barriers. With twelve years of dedicated overseas experience, Liu Mingcan, with the courage to “seize food from the tiger’s mouth,” has forged a new high-end landscape for Chinese heavy-duty trucks in a North African market dominated by established automakers.

In the African nights, he often sleeps with his plans in mind; during the foreign Spring Festival, he remains at his post five times. Facing market dominance, he led his team to seize policy opportunities and became the first company to receive a license to import complete vehicles. He won over customers with his tireless work, “recommending vehicles day and night.” Targeting the blue ocean of high-end logistics, he eschewed price wars, instead using professional solutions to reach leading companies, and traveled thousands of miles to build a solid market foundation. In response to the Belt and Road Initiative, he customized products to suit the local climate, securing a monopoly for Sinotruk for major projects. He also promoted the establishment of the first Chinese heavy-duty truck assembly plant in the region, achieving a breakthrough in overseas assembly of high-end models.

With the rigor and commitment of a legal professional, Zhao Huaqing has been deeply embedded in Weichai for over a decade. From litigation management to compliance development, he has diligently cultivated diverse roles, using his professional wisdom to build a solid legal defense for the company.

He pioneered the “four-in-one” compliance management system, making Weichai the first company in the industry to receive dual ISO international compliance certifications. He established and improved the company’s compliance management system with a management-oriented approach, promoted the implementation of specialized compliance initiatives in eight high-risk areas with a risk-oriented approach, and gradually improved the overseas compliance system with a business-oriented approach, thus integrating compliance concepts into the very fabric of the company’s development.

He creatively constructed a “one body, two wings” legal management model, overcoming difficulties in over a hundred major cases and efficiently advancing numerous major capital mergers and acquisitions, using the power of law to safeguard the implementation of the company’s strategy.

He spearheaded the establishment of a regional working conditions adaptability research team, customizing excavators tailored to the specific needs of African gold mining and other industries, enabling these products to stand out in overseas markets. He spearheaded the upgrade of overall machine design and led the team in addressing the upgrade to the National IV emission standard, setting a new benchmark for the company’s product portfolio and seizing a leading position in the market during the industry’s transformation.

From expanding the 11-15 ton product portfolio to finalizing the 20-60 ton medium-sized excavator, he has ensured that product performance has reached industry-leading levels. From developing a 2-ton pure electric excavator to rapidly designing a towed electric excavator, he has blazed a new trail for green manufacturing.
