From February 21st to 23rd, Wang Zhijian, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of Shandong Heavy Industry Group, visited Weichai and China National Heavy Duty Truck Group to investigate the resumption of work and production and safety during the Spring Festival. He also visited and extended New Year’s greetings to frontline employees. He emphasized the need to “lead the way and shoulder heavy responsibilities,” and to focus on production, delivery, and efficiency with full enthusiasm and a solid work style, striving for a “good start” in the first quarter and pushing high-quality development to a new level in 2026.
On February 21st, the fifth day of the Lunar New Year, Wang Zhijian first visited Weichai’s high-end heavy-duty engine intelligent manufacturing plant. He learned in detail about market order organization, process quality control, and lean manufacturing practices, and had cordial exchanges with skilled technicians and frontline production staff. He said that everyone had worked very hard during the Spring Festival to ensure orders. He hoped that everyone would maintain their passion for hard work, promote the spirit of craftsmanship, and deliver high-quality products to customers efficiently. He stressed the importance of taking advantage of being selected for the national leading-level intelligent factory cultivation list to build a global benchmark engine factory based on a digital and intelligent lean manufacturing model.
Subsequently, Wang Zhijian visited the Weichai Heavy Machinery Company’s high-end power energy equipment manufacturing base project site, foundry, and large-bore engine plant. Currently, the global data center power energy market is experiencing explosive growth, and Weichai’s power generation products have a full order book and strong future demand. He said that Weichai should seize the opportunity, accelerate development, and promote the construction of the new large-bore high-end engine project to a high standard, fully meeting global market demand and strengthening its strategic new business segment in power energy.
On February 23, Wang Zhijian visited China National Heavy Duty Truck Group (CNHTC) Jinan Commercial Vehicle Manufacturing Company to learn about global market orders, new energy production line upgrades, and supply chain logistics. He also inspected new heavy-duty truck products. He said that CNHTC should further increase investment in intelligent manufacturing, build product technology, quality, cost, and service competitiveness according to world-class standards, ensure a leading advantage in the transformation of commercial vehicles to new energy, and build brand reputation amidst rapid growth in the international market. During this period of high production, it is crucial to firmly grasp and implement safe production work, wholeheartedly serve and protect employees, and solidify the foundation for high-quality development.
